CM-YUVA Project Cost & Own Contribution
Structuring Your Project Cost
Your project report should add up to a realistic total cost — machinery/equipment, working capital, setup expenses — that fits within the Phase 1 (up to ₹5 lakh) or Phase 2 (₹10–20 lakh) ceiling you are applying for. Overstating cost invites bank scrutiny; understating it can leave your business under-capitalised from day one.
- List each cost head separately (machinery, deposit/rent, raw material, misc.) with a rough quotation or estimate for each.
- Keep the total realistic for your actual business plan — banks appraise viability, not just paperwork.
- Factor in your margin-money contribution as part of the total.
Can my project cost exceed ₹5 lakh under Phase 1?
The loan component is capped at ₹5 lakh in Phase 1; if your total project genuinely needs more, discuss Phase 2 eligibility or a different scheme with your bank.
