Which to Pick

For a small project (well under ₹5 lakh) where avoiding interest matters most, CM-YUVA's 100% interest subvention is hard to beat — you repay only the principal. For a larger project, or if you fall outside the 21–40 age band, PMEGP's higher ceiling (up to ₹50 lakh) and clearly published subsidy slabs make it the more predictable choice. You generally can't combine both on the same unit.

Use the CM-YUVA interest savings calculator or the PMEGP calculator to estimate your numbers on each.

Can I apply to both and see which sanctions first?

You can explore both, but once you avail margin money or interest subvention on one for a given unit, you generally can't also claim the other on the same unit.

Which has simpler eligibility?

PMEGP has no upper age limit and a broader project scope; CM-YUVA is age-restricted (21–40) but doesn't require the EDP training PMEGP mandates before loan release.
