What a CFC Provides

A Common Facility Centre is shared infrastructure that no single small unit could afford alone — funded up to 90% of project cost by the state (for projects up to ₹15 crore; above that, the state’s share is calculated only on the first ₹15 crore), with the rest contributed by the beneficiary group. A CFC can include:

Testing lab, design development, and training centre
Technical research and development centre
Product exhibition-cum-selling centre
Raw material bank / common resource, production, and logistics centre
Information, communication and broadcasting centre
Packaging, labelling, and barcoding facilities

Who Can Apply

Not an individual entrepreneur — CFC is for a legally registered entity: a cooperative society, producer company, self-help group (SHG), or similar collective, located in the district and producing that district’s ODOP product. Financial contribution from the beneficiary group is mandatory.

If you’re a single-owner unit, CFC isn’t something you apply for alone — but you can potentially use a CFC set up by a producer group or cooperative you’re part of.

Can an individual entrepreneur benefit from a CFC even if they can’t apply alone?
