ODOP Eligibility: Who Can Get Benefits?
The Common Thread
Every ODOP component shares one non-negotiable condition: your unit must produce the specific product identified for your own district — not a neighbouring district’s product, and not just any handicraft or manufactured item.
Baseline Criteria
- Age: At least 18 years old — no upper limit, no compulsory educational qualification.
- Product match: Your business must be in your district’s identified ODOP product.
- Credit history: Not a defaulter with any nationalized bank, financial institution, or government body.
- No duplicate benefit: For margin money specifically, you shouldn’t have already availed another margin money scheme (like PMEGP) for the same unit. For toolkit and marketing assistance, you shouldn’t have taken a similar Central or State benefit recently.
What if my business makes something different from my district’s ODOP product?
You won’t qualify for ODOP-specific benefits, but a general scheme like PMEGP, MYSY, or CM-YUVA may still fit — these don’t require a product match to a district list.
Is there an income or education requirement?
No. ODOP’s published eligibility doesn’t set an income ceiling or minimum education level — age (18+), product match, and clean credit history are the core tests.
