ODOP Marketing Assistance (MDA): Trade Fair & Stall Support
What MDA Covers
The Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) scheme helps ODOP artisans, weavers, and entrepreneurs get better prices by supporting their participation in trade fairs and exhibitions:
| Level | Stall Charge | Freight/Material | Travel |
|---|---|---|---|
| State | 75%, max ₹50,000 | 75%, max ₹7,500 | — |
| Interstate | 75%, max ₹5,000 | 75%, max ₹15,000 | 3rd AC train / AC bus fare, one person |
| International | 75%, max ₹2 lakh | — | — |
Eligibility
- Producing your district’s identified ODOP product
- At least 18 years old
- Haven’t availed a similar Central or State marketing benefit in the last two years
Do I need to find the trade fair myself, or does the scheme organize it?
Both patterns exist — some fairs are organized by the Ministry of MSME/NSIC or the state, and individual MSMEs can also apply to participate in fairs they find independently, subject to scheme rules.
Is the assistance paid before or after the event?
MDA is structured as reimbursement of eligible costs (stall, freight, travel) — confirm the exact documentation and timing (advance vs. reimbursement) with the portal for your specific event.

MSMEUP.com is independent information & tools — free, and not run by any consultancy. ClaimDesk is a separate, private consultancy (a NorthStar Advisors brand) for those who want professional filing help; its fee is for that service, not a government charge, and using it is entirely optional — MSMEUP’s guides and tools work the same with or without it.
