Cross-Cutting FAQs Section G of 9
These FAQs apply across all 36 sectoral policies (roughly 70% of investor questions fall in this cross-cutting section, per the source guide) rather than being specific to one policy. This is a starter structure from that guide's own content - not independently verified. Confirm every rate, cap, threshold and procedural detail against the notified GO before advising an investor.

Questions in This Section

Can an MSME claim under both the MSME Policy 2022 and a sectoral policy (say, Textile Policy 2022)?

It must opt for one for the same head of incentive. Common practice: opt for the sectoral policy where its capital/interest subsidy is richer, and separately claim export-linked benefits under the Export Promotion Policy where the heads do not overlap.

Can a unit inside a private industrial park claim its own incentives while the developer claims park incentives?

Yes — developer incentives and unit incentives are separate streams.

Can a GCC in a Private Business Park claim both?

The developer claims under the Business Park Scheme; the tenant GCC claims under the GCC Policy 2024. Separate entities, separate claims.

Can a unit switch policies mid-stream?

Generally not after an EC is issued. Before EC, a written request to the sanctioning committee may be entertained.

What if a policy is amended after my LoC?

The default is that a unit is governed by the policy as it stood on the date of its LoC/registration, but most amendments include a clause permitting existing units to opt for the amended terms. Read the amendment's transition clause.
